OCC Curling Rock Replacement Project
Project Description
The Oshawa Curling Club is undertaking a Curling Rock Program to renew its aging curling stones and strengthen long-term community sport infrastructure.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
The donations received through this project will directly benefit the Oshawa Curling Club’s membership by funding the replacement of our aging curling stones with new, competition‑quality equipment. Updated stones will greatly improve ice playability, reliability, and safety, providing members with a more consistent and enjoyable curling experience. Improved equipment reduces barriers for new participants, supports skill development for curlers at all levels, and strengthens overall program quality. By modernizing essential playing equipment, this project enhances the club’s ability to deliver accessible, community‑based amateur sport opportunities, contributing to increased participation and long‑term growth of curling within the community.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
The Curling Rock Sponsorship Project supports the promotion and development of amateur sport nationally by strengthening the foundational infrastructure of a community curling club, enabling greater participation and long-term athlete development at the grassroots level--an essential component of Canada's amateur sport pathway
