How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
The funds will significantly contribute to the promotion and development of amateur sport in Canada by supporting the growth of rhythmic gymnastics through high-quality competitive opportunities and athlete development.
Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics Club successfully co- hosted a National Championships in rhythmic gymnastics competition in May 2025, providing a platform for athletes from across the country to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience at a high-performance level. Building on this success, we aim to continue hosting national and provincial events in the coming years, which will help strengthen the competitive structure of rhythmic gymnastics in Canada.
In addition to hosting major events, our club organizes provincial-level competitions annually and supports gymnasts who regularly compete at both provincial and national levels. These initiatives provide essential opportunities for athletes to progress through the stages of development, from grassroots participation to elite competition.
By hosting these events, we not only enhance the visibility of rhythmic gymnastics but also promote values of discipline, teamwork, healthy living among youth, increasing participation in amateur sport, developing local and national talent, and fostering community engagement in a positive, inclusive sporting environment.
Ultimately, this initiative helps strengthen Canada's rhythmic gymnastics community, ensuring continued growth, excellence, and accessibility in amateur sport nationwide.
