New Timing Pads
Project Description
Having installed new starting blocks and timing equipment, it's time for some new timing pads! The current pads are over 14 years old and even with regular maintenance are no longer operating up to standard during competition. Our athletes want to see their times on the scoreboard and our officials running the system would like to work with a fully functioning system.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
The purchase of 7 new timing pads to be kept at Centennial Aquatic Centre for use by the Collingwood Clippers as well as local high school and Masters teams.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
With swimmers reaching the provincial and national level, new timing pads will ensure accurate timing down to the hundredth of a second which can often be the difference between qualifying or not qualifying for a desired time standard.
