Team Ontario Football Programs

Project Description

Each year, Football Ontario's Team Ontario program offers over 1,000 youth athletes the opportunity to participate in the high-performance football pathway. This inclusive initiative serves both male and female athletes, across flag and tackle football, within the U14 to U19 age categories. Through a rigorous evaluation and development process, the top athletes are selected in May to represent Ontario at national championships -- including Football Canada's Flag Nationals and Tackle National Championships.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):

Support travel and accommodations for volunteer coaches, who are essential to the development and success of the athletes throughout the program.

How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.

The Team Ontario program plays a vital role in developing amateur football across Canada by identifying and nurturing the top youth talent in the province and providing a structured, inclusive pathway to national competition. Through year-round programming for over 1,000 athletes -- both male and female, in flag and tackle formats, and ranging from U14 to U19 -- the project prepares participants to compete at Football Canada's national championships.
