Clubhouse Project
Project Description
The clubhouse at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club was built in 1923 and in 1962, the building was expanded, in large part, to enclose the veranda. The objective of this project is to rebuild a completely new Clubhouse that will support the current membership and the future generations of golfers in the region.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
To build a brand-new Clubhouse Facility at St. Thomas Golf & Country Club.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
Building a new clubhouse at St. Thomas Golf & Country Club in Union, Ontario, will provide a much-needed modern facility that enhances the overall experience for both members and visitors, directly benefiting amateur golf in the region. The current clubhouse, while rich in history, is aging and increasingly seen as a barrier to hosting larger provincial or national events. A new clubhouse will offer expanded amenities--including larger dining and banquet spaces, improved locker rooms making the club more appealing to current and prospective golfers of all skill levels. By improving the club's reputation and infrastructure, St. Thomas will be better positioned to host prestigious amateur tournaments and developmental programs, supporting the growth of amateur golf and providing a welcoming environment for future generations of Ontario golfers to learn, compete, and enjoy the game.
