Meaford Curling Club - Freeze the House - Capital Project

Project Description

The Meaford Curling Club is raising funds to install new ice making equipment. The current ice plant is no longer operational. Many components are original to the facility construction in 1987. The club rented an ice plant to be operational for its members while researching long term equipment solutions.  Donations will be used to purchase a RinkMate 30 Chiller.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):

The RinkMate 30 Chiller features modern technology designed to seamlessly work with the existing brine pump and brine lines to provide an energy efficient solution for today and for the future.  An operational ice plant is crucial to the facility and the future of the club.

How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.

Meaford is a rural community. If the club is not operational most residents would not have the opportunity to try, learn, and fall in love with the sport. The club also provides a junior curling program and electives to school aged children introducing them to the sport. The more people that learn and appreciate the sport the better.
