Uxbridge Curling Club Roof Replacement

Project Description

The Uxbridge and District Curling Club (UCC) facility was built in 1960. The purpose of this project is to replace the aging and deteriorating roof and if necessary complete repairs of the existing roof prior to complete replacement.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):

The proceeds will be used for the following:
o To assist with the costs related to the planning and actual replacement of the 60 plus year old roof on the UCC.
o To assist with the costs of repairs to the existing roof prior to complete replacement.

How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.

This project will assist the UCC in promoting and developing the sport of curling as it ensures that the opportunity is available to residents of Uxbridge and the surrounding area for generations to come.  Current programs offered to our 300+ members and the community include:

o Little Rock, Bantam, Junior and Learn to Curl instruction programs.
o Daytime and Evening Leagues for Men, Ladies, Mixed and Open Curling.
o The facility is available to area schools and other organizations for Learn-to-curl and competitive programs.
o Teams and individuals from UCC have competed in competitions at the Provincial and National level.
