Project Description
Donation proceeds will be used to offset BCC's projected operating deficit for the 2020/2021 fiscal year resulting from the cancellation of curling due to COVID-19, This will enable the Club to survive financially and be able to offer curling to our members and the Bancroft community in years to come.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
To cover fixed and semi-fixed operating costs (e.g. property taxes, insurance, bank charges, utilities, etc.) that can't be avoided despite the cessation of curling operations for the season.
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
Without these donations, the Bancroft Curling Club is projected to incur a deficit of expenditures over revenues of approx. $(30,000) over the 2020/2021 fiscal year. A loss of this amount threatens the survival of the Club and may result in permanent closure. By offsetting the loss through this project, the Club will be able to continue our tradition of providing curling facilities and programs to our members (mostly seniors), our youth curler development programs, and to the local community.
