How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.

This project will enable the Sydenham Community Curling Club to develop and maintain a Recreation & Community Centre program within the communities of Wallaceburg, Dresden, Bkejwanong, North Kent and South Lambton. Currently our club provides learn to curl programs for adults and little rocks ages 6 - 14. Also junior curling programs are provided to elementary and high school students in our area.
The SCCC is a fully handicap accessible building and has been hosts in the past for the Ontario wheelchair curling championships. The SCCC has had success in the past with one of our junior members being a member of a team that won the Canadian junior men's championship as well as a team winning 2 OCA Intermediate men's championships.

Annually we host the All Ontario Farmers Bonspiel with 28 teams competing from across Ontario as well as the Crazy Legs Bonspiel with 32 teams competing from across Ontario and the United States.
