Capital Equipment Renewal Program

Project Description

Update/replace ice plant and ancillary equipment as needed or as detailed in the long term capital renewal plan.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):

Replace Chiller Barrel $20,000. Replace receiver and pressure relief valves and install variable speed control on condenser $12,500

How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.

WCC received a Trillium grant in 2018 for $150,000 to replace the piping in the rink. Over 1200 volunteer hours were logged by club members to support the new installation. Our equipment is aging and it is necessary to update or replace to ensure the long term viability of the club and to support this significant expenditure. WCC has an active junior curling program and has 16 kids in a weekly Little Rock program. Our junior curlers participated in the provincial elementary school tournament sponsored by New Holland and placed 12th of 97 teams.
