Junior Development Program
Project Description
The OBBRFC Junior Development Program will support the Junior Beavers and Junior Banshees under 19 teams. Proceeds will be used to ensure young players have the opportunity to develop their rugby skills in a safe environment with modern equipment and using the latest techniques. Player safety, teamwork, and inclusion will be prioritized in the development of fun and competitive atmosphere for all players and coaches.
The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):
Purchase of training gear and safety equipment
Specialized skill and safety coaching
Support for junior players player at provincial and national level teams
Other initiatives as determined by the Club Executive that promote junior player development and safety
How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national
level.
The OBBRFC Junior Development Program aims to grow the game of rugby at the grassroots level by fostering an inclusive atmosphere and through the prioritization of player safety and basic skills development. Support will also be directed to junior club members selected to compete provincially, nationally, or internationally to ensure that a lack of funds does not represent a barrier for the most promising young athletes.
