192 - Huntsville Curling Club

COVID-19 Sustainability

Project Description

This fund is required to offset the financial shortfall that will occur due to the COVID-19 Pandemic allowing  us  to be financially viable and navigate through unprecedented times. Donation proceeds will be used to offset HCC's projected operating deficit for the 2020/2021 fiscal year due to COVID-19.  This will enable the Club to survive financially and be able to offer curling to our members and the Huntsville community in years to come.

The proceeds from this fundraising will be
used for the following cause(s):

To help cover fixed and variable operating costs (e.g. property taxes, insurance, bank charges, utilities, salaries etc.) that are necessary to support our curling operations for the season. This project will ease the financial loss that is forecast due to reduced membership, and minimal rental and bonspiel revenues.

How this project will assist in promoting
or developing amateur sport on a national

This project is essential for ensuring the financial sustainability of the HCC for future generations to be part of an active healthy living social network in Huntsville and Muskoka.

It will allow us to continue to provide a curling facility that is used for Adult Curling, Youth and School programs, Community Recreation Leagues and Learn-to-Curl programs.
